Meet the Principal

Sam Gonzalez
With 14 years in education, I am excited to begin this new journey as Carrollton Elementary School’s principal. Originally from the Texas Panhandle, my family and I moved to the DFW area, where I have continued to grow as an educator and leader. I graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelors in Education and later earned my Master of Education in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
Over the past four years, I have served as an assistant principal, including three years in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. My experiences as an instructional coach and an assistant principal have prepared me for this next step in leadership. I am excited to be back in CFBISD.
Outside of education, my greatest joy is my family. My husband, Ski, and I are proud parents to our son, Kaden, who will begin his freshman year of college this fall, and our daughter, Avery, who is in middle school.
I look forward to building strong relationships with students, staff, families and the community as we work together to support student success.
